Our Skip Covers are entirely powered by solar energy and have their own battery bank. They therefore require no mains supply and so can be positioned at any location suitable to you, rather than being tied to a mains power supply.
Our system has been tried and tested over more than a decade and has proven to be extremely easy to use and maintain.
Standard features include:
Simple electric and hydraulic system to aid easy maintenance.
System protected by pressure relief valves (open/close function).
Control box includes a voltage meter reading to allow you to see exactly when the unit needs charging.
Powered by low voltage 24 volt DC hydraulic pack.
The following options are available as part of an enhanced specification:
Motion sensors on the container sides for automatic open and close function - all built-in within the confines of the unit.
Side container buffers - fork truck impact buffers - to protect container sides from damage.
Remote control open/shut functionality - either from a distance or from within the loading vehicle.
During transportation charging pack to alleviate the need to charge the unit once on site, saving valuable unload and load time. We highly recommend this option.
We can also tailor the design and specification of our Skip Covers to meet your exact requirements. Having undertaken an on-site consultation we will submit a fully costed proposal for your approval.
On approval of the proposal the build process takes between six and eight weeks. A recommended maintenance schedule will be included and discussed with you on delivery of your unit(s).
Our Skip Covers have been deliberately designed to keep maintenance to a minimum. Each unit is supplied with a detailed wiring diagram. We recommend a yearly oil change and dependent on usage the hauling ropes will also need changing intermittently.
